Blog Project Goals

My goal is to make art in and inspired by every Michigan State Park. I don't have a time frame. It will take as long as it takes. When I'm at a park I will enjoy myself, sketch and take photos that inspire me. When I'm back at home I will continue to make pieces inspired by my visits. I might sell some in my Etsy shop. I might not. I don't plan to advertise here or to promote this blog on social media.

I started on Sunday August 31, 2025 at Seven Lakes State Park in Holly Michigan. It's a little over 1400 acres of lakes and woods tucked into an urban metro area.

I did one sketch while sitting on a bench in the park. The text part was done over a year ago. I like to randomly journal and then draw over the writing later.
